  • What are cannabinoids?

Cannabinoids are chemical compounds that occur naturally in the cannabis plant and in the bodies of vertebrates, including humans. Plant-derived cannabinoids are called phytocannabinoids, while those produced by the body are known as endocannabinoids. These compounds, such as CBD, CBG, THC, and CBN, interact with the body's endocannabinoid system (ECS) to help maintain balance, or homeostasis.
  • What is the endocannabinoid system?

The endocannabinoid system (ECS) is a complex network of neurotransmitters and cell membrane receptors. It plays a crucial role in regulating various physiological processes at the cellular level. The central nervous system produces neurotransmitters called endocannabinoids, which interact with cannabinoid receptors on cell membranes to modulate bodily functions.
  • How do cannabinoids work?

Cannabinoids interact with two main receptors in the human body: CB1 and CB2. While these receptors are found throughout the body, CB1 receptors are primarily located in the brain and affect pain, movement, cognitive function, and mood. CB2 receptors are more prevalent in the immune system and influence pain and inflammation. THC binds directly to CB1 receptors, while CBD is believed to indirectly influence the body's use of endocannabinoids by interacting with CB2 receptors, promoting overall balance.
  • What are cannabinoids used for?

While the FDA has not approved cannabinoids for specific medical uses, many of our customers report using them for various reasons. Common applications cited by our clients include managing pain, reducing inflammation, alleviating anxiety, and addressing sleep issues. However, it's important to note that we cannot make any health claims regarding these products.
  • Will I get high?

CBD and CBG are non-psychoactive cannabinoids, meaning they do not produce a 'high' sensation. On the other hand, CBN and THC are psychoactive and can induce a high. Full spectrum products may contain trace amounts of THC, but these are typically not sufficient to cause psychoactive effects in most users.
  • Which product is right for me?

The most suitable product depends on your specific needs and preferences. For many conditions, we often recommend tinctures due to their high bioavailability, precise dosing capabilities, and ease of use. However, some users prefer other forms such as edibles, topicals, or vaporizers. We encourage you to consult with our knowledgeable staff to find the best option for your individual circumstances.
  • How many milligrams should I take per serving?

The appropriate dosage can vary significantly based on several factors, including the severity of the condition being addressed, the method of consumption, and the individual's body size. Generally, suggested doses range from 5 mg to 50 mg per serving. We recommend starting with a lower dose and gradually increasing it as needed, while monitoring your body's response.
